LCN Door Controls offer a full range of products from standard mechanical door closers to electromechanical hold open fire-life safety products.  Door control is most commonly addressed through mechanical closers, which utilize a spring-loaded hydraulic fluid device that provides control on opening, and safe and secure adjustable control on closing.  The full range of products are designed for use in any application.  For over 85 years LCN has been dedicated to quality and durability to meet the demanding needs of the market.

Understanding the Types of Door Controls

Surface Mounted Surface mounted door closers are the most durable and common type of door closer.  They are mounted to the surface of the door or frame, and can be configured through installation or arm type to meet a wide variety of applications.
Overhead Concealed Overhead concealed door closers are used to provide a more aesthetic look to the opening.  They are concealed in either the frame or the door itstelf, but still offer the ability to be adjusted to maintain control of the opening.
Hold Open Closers
& Magnets
LCN's Fire/Life safety products provide a wide range of solutions.  LCN offers single or multi-point hold open closers that utilize an electromechanical closer to hold the door open during normal hours of operation, but will release when notified in an emergency situation.  LCN also offers single point hold open magnets that offer the same functionality, but are used in conjunction with a door closer to ensure the door safely closes when the magnet is released.
Holders & Stops These holders simply hold a door open.  They must be manually disengaged to shut the door.  A door stop is a device that is placed at the bottom of the door to stop it from closing.
