AD-Series Offline Options

Networked locks may not be the right choice for every opening in your facility. This is why there are two models of AD-Series available as standalone solutions. Offline locks are a cost-effective way to upgrade from traditional mechanical locking devices. They allow you to easily add and delete users, track usage and manage data – all without installing a facility-wide network. This gives you more control and allows you to manage your system more efficiently than with a traditional mechanical system.

And, because these locks are part of the AD-Series, you’re free to upgrade to a networked solution at any time. Simply replace the network module – not the entire lock – and you’ll be up and running in no time.

The AD-Series offline solution provides:

  • Security that’s more convenient than traditional mechanical locking devices.
  • Audit trail reports that tell you who went where and when.
  • Options to update users and access rights at the lock using the keypad, authorized credentials or a handheld programming device.
  • The ability the upgrade to a networked solution as budgets allows and needs change.

Schlage offers two offline solutions to fit your environment:

AD-200
Works operates like a traditional electronic lock. The locks are programmed with access rights and schedules using software and a handheld device, or manually programmed directly at the keypad.

AD-250
This is a smart and economical solution for campus-like environments with a large number of users. The access rights and schedules are stored on a magnetic stripe credential rather than the lock. This gives the manager the ability to change rights for certain credentials without having to tour the locks. The lock still maintains an audit trail of events.

AD-Series Product Overview
Each opening can be customized using the large number of options the AD-Series gives you. Initial options include choices of credential readers, chassis type, network configurations, locking functions, lever styles and finishes. It also offers a wide selection of features that can be configured in the field during installation to customize your openings

The offline versions of AD-Series are built to be just as smart as the networked models. Schlage has included all of the same components and intelligence into the offline models – just waiting to be activated if the lock is upgraded to a networked model. This includes all the hardware components required for a complete access control system such as the electrified lock, credential reader, request-to-enter and -exit sensors, door position switch and more. In addition, the AD-Series also has a number of status indicators that can be monitored.
